You will need:

  • White pillow case
  • Acrylic paint - pink, yellow, blue, orange, red, green & light green
  • Diecut machine and dies or pattern and scissors
  • Compressed sponge
  • 1" Foam brush
  • 1/2" Flat brush
  • Cotton swabs
  • 1 Yard 1" wide orange grosgrain ribbon
  • Permanent markers - assorted colors
  • Washable glue

Instructions:

1. Use the flat brush to paint stripes on the cuff of the pillow case, alternating, red, orange and yellow paint.

2. Using die cut machine or pattern and scissors, cut hand shape from compressed sponge. Dip in water to expand then squeeze out excess water. Use the foam brush to paint an even coat of paint onto the hand shape. Place in place on pillow case. Clean the sponge then repeat using a different color, evenly spaced on pillow case. Let inside dry and continue on other side making "hand" flowers.

3. Using the flat brush, paint green stems from each "flower" hand print.

4. Trace a leaf shape on the compressed sponge then cut out with scissors. Expand in water then squeeze out excess water. Dip the sponge in light green paint. Press along the side of each flower stem.

5. Dip the cotton swab into paint then use to add colored dots in a random pattern all over the pillow case.

6. Your pillow case can be personalized or autographed with permanent markers.

7. Fold the ribbon in half, apply glue at the center. Attach to the case right under the cuff. This will be used to tie the bag closed. Let dry.
